Rex Pedersen
Rex Pedersen is a third generation gunsmith who's been involved with firearms all his life. In 1978, he decided to pursue engraving. Rex learned engraving by studying the art himself and with the help of other engravers. Rex strongly believes that established engravers should help grow the field of engraving.
When the Firearms Engravers Guild of America was formed, he joined as a Charter Member. Mr. Pedersen not only participates and contributes to F.E.G.A. activities, he has earned their difficult to achieve title of FEGA Master Engraver. This title is awarded only through a rigorous process of demonstrated skill in firearms engraving. He has held various offices for 15 years and presently serves as President of the organization.
A few of Rex's other engraving credentials include awards by Smith & Wesson and Beretta. His client list is comprised of such names as Ducks Unlimited, Browning, Anheuser-Bush and other well-known entities. Rex's experience as a gunsmith adds depth to his engraving capabilities since certain firearms engraving jobs involve integrated gunsmithing.
His work has appeared in Guns magazine, Rifle Magazine, Shooters Bible, Modern Custom Guns, Custom Firearms Engraving as well as other publications.
In addition to guns, Rex engraves knives and special awards. For the last 8 years he has engraved the “Goodyear Gold Car” award that is given to the NASCAR Nextel Champion driver.
