Casting Frame

Create molds from Alumilite™ or other popular silicone-based mold materials in a Casting Frame designed to your specifications. Made of clear acrylic, the smooth-cut 4 layer system allows you to watch as you pour mold material into the frame, see it set, and easily remove it by separating one layer at a time.

Easy Ordering

Give us the interior length & width of your casting frame. Calculate it by adding 1/2 inch to the largest measurement in each dimension of the piece you want to cast. This will provide a 1/4 inch border for a stable mold. We will cut your dimensions out of appropriate sized acrylic plates. Standard frames allow for molds up to three quarters of an inch thick (1/4 inch per plate). If your piece requires a mold deeper than 3/4 inch, order extra plates as needed.

Standard Casting Frame includes:

• One 1/4 inch solid acrylic base plate
• Three 1/4 inch acrylic frame plates with custom cut cavities and labeled dimensions
• Four sets of bolts and wing nuts to secure the plates during the mold making process

Options

• Large frames (> 36 square inches per plate or > 23 inches in one dimension) - contact us for a custom quote
• Extra Plates - $3 standard (36 sq in or less)
• Double Cavity Frames (for creating 2 molds simultaneously for items like knife bolsters) - add $5
