Powley Bulino Palm Tool
All good bulino work starts with good tooling.
For years, Brian Powley attempted to perfect his skills using commercial tools that were well made but not exactly made for him. He has a short, small hand. The commercial tools always felt big and bulky....too big for him to execute fine work.
Brian took the time to design a palm tool that fit his hand and had a professional machinist make his dream come true. The Powley Bulino Palm Tool is 1 inch in diameter, 2 inches long, 100% solid steel and weighs 2.5 oz. Other commercial graver handles are 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" in diameter, 2 1/2" to 2 3/4 " long, are made of plastic, aluminum or wood and weigh about 3/4 of an ounce. When you pick up a Powley Bulino Palm Tool, you can feel its quality.
This is a professional tool designed and used by Brian Powley. It's precision machined from solid steel and uses a set screw for locking in gravers from 1/8"-3/32".
You have a choice of 3 finishes:
- Rust Blue - A classic and traditional hand applied metal finish that is associated with fine firearms. (Add $10.00)
- Senescent - This is a special process that I use to age the metal and make it look like you've been using it everyday for 50 years. Beautiful and interesting. (Add $10.00)
- White - or more specifically in gun terms, "In the white". The bulino is polished to 320 grit for you to custom engrave your bulino and create a very unique and distinct tool. You then can have it blued or plated (chrome, nickel, etc.)
Price does not include graver.
